This opportunity entails managing assigned transportation projects throughout their full lifecycle, including developing scope and technical sections of proposals, participating in contract negotiations, and overseeing project delivery to ensure quality, timeliness, budget adherence, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for development of the project scope and fee quotation and assists in the preparation of technical proposals and contracts in accordance with HNTB's Sophisticated Contracting Approach (SCA).
Leads or actively participates in client contract scoping and negotiations.
Serves as the primary client liaison and manages the project team to deliver the scope, schedule, and budgets to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
Performs technical discipline tasks including analysis, reports, design, specification, and production for assigned projects.
Implements the firm's project delivery plan using HNTB's Sophisticated Delivery Approach (SDA) on each project.
Leads the development and execution of the project management plan.
Supervises and mentors team members to achieve overall project objectives.
Responsible for/oversees project staffing, including recruitment, development, retention, and succession planning.
Partners with Client Service Leaders and pursuit champions to assist with business development and building client relationships.
Leads proposal development and interview presentations for strategic, mini-mega, and mega projects.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10 years of relevant experience.
2 years of successful management of engineering projects.
Experience in managing multi-disciplinary projects within budget, schedule, and scope.
Proficient in project management tools and techniques for monitoring and delivering projects.
Ability to serve as the lead interface with clients on moderately complex projects.
Experience in traffic control systems, illumination, and intelligent transportation systems design.
Ability to evaluate traffic conditions utilizing traffic simulation methods and TMUTCD.

Nice to Have

Master's degree in Engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification.

Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering (preferred).
Professional Engineer (PE) certification (preferred).
