About the Role

This position is responsible for the efficient, effective, flawless delivery of strategic end-to-end Innovation and Renovation projects in Nestle USA as well as managing cross-functional project teams, with an entrepreneurial mindset and passion for operational excellence, to achieve the project defined Key Success Criteria and deliver against the business needs. The role promotes the Ideation to Launch (I2L) Mindset and involves leading project management activities, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership within Nestlé's dynamic environment, primarily based in Seattle with in-office presence Tuesday-Thursday. Key Responsibilities

  • Apply project management tools and skills to ensure the on-time, on-scope and on quality delivery of the project with flawless execution from concept to close.
  • Lead the alignment of the strategy and approach for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing the project with key stakeholders.
  • Preventive management of roadblocks and generation of risk mitigation plans.
  • Build and manage the project schedule, define the critical path, track activities to ensure functional team members are meeting agreed-upon deadlines, generate and communicate status reports, and escalate critical issues.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project meetings including kick-off meetings, project team meetings, risk assessments, financial reviews, lessons learned, post-launch reviews, and additional meetings as required.
  • Provide transparency and communication on project status and risks to cross-functional team members and Project Management Lead.
  • Effectively control scope changes through proactive and open communication with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and ensure data accuracy, deliverable completion, and documentation as specified by relevant policies and procedures across assigned projects.
  • Meet established key performance indicators (KPIs) and other program metrics.
  • Responsible for making and ensuring the implementation of process improvements.
  • Facilitate and coach to enhance the interaction and collaboration of cross-functional teams to drive projects forward.
  • Contribute to training and coaching in project management within the TAG PMO team.
  • Demonstrate courage and initiative to influence stakeholders with integrity and manage expectations.
  • Lead discussions and communicate effectively within project teams.
  • Act as a change agent.
  • Identify and engage with stakeholders creating synergies through effective networking with all relevant business partners and external partners.
  • Communicate effectively at all levels of the organization; ensure all relevant stakeholders are continuously informed of project status, risks, issues, and action plans.
  • Contribute to impactful business success by considering the whole picture of the project and verifying sustainable business value.

Requirements

  • Minimum BA/BS required.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification a plus.
  • 3 years' experience in project management.
  • 3 years of cross-functional experience preferred, such as Engineering, Operations, Technical Applications Group, Research & Development, Marketing or related fields.
  • Brilliant at the basics (time management, results focus, communication skills, organization skills).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and teams concurrently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to manage conflict and drive resolution.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a high-volume, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Leadership and coaching skills to drive results.
  • Quick sifting abilities to focus on priorities at both high and detailed levels.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify links between facts, ideas, and situations with no obvious connection.
  • Self-direction and ability to manage ambiguity.
  • Ability to enable quick decisions, energize others by clarifying purpose, and stop projects without escalation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with food manufacturing or CPG industry.
  • Experience with project management tools and continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BA/BS degree.
  • PMP Certification (preferred).
  • 3 years' experience in project management.
  • 3 years of cross-functional experience (preferred).
