About the Role

As a Project Manager Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in guiding and managing complex projects. You will be accountable for overseeing project activities, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and providing guidance to project management professionals. You will report directly to our Project Manager, and you'll work out of our Guaynabo, Puerto Rico location. The DTO Project Manager Specialist is a strategic role within the Delivery Transformation office of the Business Aviation (BA) Strategic Business Group that enhances global project delivery by integrating cutting-edge strategies and ensuring alignment across all organizational levels. As an extension of the DTO lead, you facilitate the Project Initiation in the early stages of project management, ensuring that all project requirements, goals, and resources are identified, defined, and set in place for successful execution.

Key Responsibilities

Understand project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
Understand including timelines, budgets, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Identify project stakeholders and define roles and responsibilities
Engage the Project Schedule to start the project schedule, ensuring all required resources, timelines, and deliverables are clearly outlined
Coordinate the creation of risk management strategies, identifying potential risks and requesting the PM to develop mitigation plans
Identify project governance structure, including communication to decision-making processes
Ensure all team members are aligned with project goals
Confirm financial data in PPM GDM matches ERR
Communicate project status to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment and managing expectations
Facilitate kick-off meetings to ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project scope, deliverables, and timelines
Ensure all project documentation is uploaded in PPM
Develop billing initiation plan in PPM

Requirements

3+ years of experience with project management methodologies
Ability to speak, read, and write English

Nice to Have

Bachelor's degree in engineering or project management
PMP (Project Management Professional) or CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)
Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Jira, Trello)
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
Strong problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proactive and results-oriented mindset
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Strong analytical skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results

Qualifications

Educational background in engineering or project management (preferred)
