About the Role

The Senior Project Manager- Water Conveyance/Pump Stations role is with the Linear Infrastructure Water Group, focusing on managing challenging water infrastructure projects in Northern or Southern California. The position involves applying technical expertise, leading project teams, developing proposals, and contributing to resilient water solutions that respect nature and serve communities. Key Responsibilities

  • Clarify roles and responsibilities within the project team and ensure project compliance with organizational structures and processes.
  • Plan and manage the delivery of projects within an area of professional expertise, using appropriate project management methodologies.
  • Lead large project teams or multiple small- to medium-sized teams; define project vision, communicate outcomes, and guide team efforts.
  • Coordinate team actions across project activities and build team capability through training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Manage identification of risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints; develop and implement solutions as needed.
  • Deliver baseline assessments and post-implementation analyses to evaluate and track the realization of business benefits.
  • Negotiate and manage deployment of project resource budgets, providing forecasts and variances for effective utilization.
  • Drive a culture of innovation through multistakeholder solutions, idea generation platforms, and collaborative initiatives.
  • Communicate actions needed to implement the team’s strategy and motivate team members to achieve business goals.
  • Develop personal capabilities through ongoing education, training, and professional accreditation.
  • Manage projects within transformational change programs, ensuring integration and using structured change management methodologies.
  • Develop and implement stakeholder engagement plans to foster positive relationships and ensure stakeholder input.
  • Plan and lead information gathering, analysis, and stakeholder consultation activities; specify and negotiate project deliverables.
  • Manage assurance reviews within projects, enable independent reviews, and resolve issues to ensure project delivery on time, budget, and quality.
  • Interpret business needs and identify solution recommendations at the business unit level.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or similar); Masters Degree preferred.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of California.
  • Minimum 7 years of civil engineering experience focused on design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Experience in leading transformational change projects.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices, external regulation, and technology in water infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Professional engineering registration in California.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering; Master’s degree preferred.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $117,000 to $175,000 based on experience and location.
