Proposal Coordinator

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support pursuit teams in implementing capture planning processes and contribute to proposal content development, including LOE (Level of Effort) estimates and collateral pieces.
• Conduct research to identify Layton's qualifications, experience, and competitor information, maintaining well-organized, accessible records of project descriptions, resumes, and qualifications.
• Create and maintain marketing support materials such as brochures, presentations, and technical capability documents, ensuring message consistency and adherence to brand standards.
• Assist in the development of proposals and other sales/marketing deliverables, working under supervision and adopting best practices.
• Respond to information requests and client research assistance, supporting the creation of qualifications statements, project descriptions, and resumes.
• Participate in proposal breakdowns and updates, including resume and project description updates shared through Cosential and boilerplate libraries.
• Learn and apply knowledge of Layton's service offerings, strategic initiatives, and industry standards to support proposal and marketing efforts.
• Seek development opportunities, leverage resources, and contribute to continuous improvement of proposal quality and customer service.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1-3 years of experience in proposal and presentation planning, coordination, page layout, drafting tailored content, graphics development, and editing.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and MS Office (PowerPoint).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with persuasive writing and presentation abilities.
• Experience or familiarity with AEC (Architecture, Engineering, Construction) industry is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with pursuit teams and support multiple deliverables.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe InDesign.
• Knowledge of AEC sales and marketing techniques.
• Experience creating proposals and marketing collateral.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in proposal and marketing support
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud/Suite and MS Office
