About the Role

Infosys is seeking a Python Developer. This position's main responsibility will be to translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks. The chosen candidate will apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, capture accurate requirements and work closely with team members to prioritize tasks and the scope of development. The role will require solid attention to detail with the ability to identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment while contributing towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing applications that are scalable, relevant, and critical to the project.

Key Responsibilities

Translate software requirements into working and maintainable solutions within existing application frameworks.
Apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Capture accurate requirements and work closely with team members to prioritize tasks and scope of development.
Identify errors and make adjustments in a testing environment.
Contribute towards developing and adhering to best practices for developing scalable and relevant applications.

Requirements

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT or be willing to relocate to the area.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
At least 2 years of Information Technology experience.
Experience in Python development.
Ability to connect with business teams and translate business requirements into technical requirements.
Effective communication skills with multiple collaborators such as DBA, Infrastructure team, Network team, Business, Architecture group.

Nice to Have

Develop and maintain Python-based web applications.
Experience in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Understanding of program/project objectives and meeting release goals.
Strong SQL skills and background in ETL.
Experience developing distributed data pipelines using Apache Spark.
Knowledge of Angular, React, or JavaScript.
Experience with REST, Microservices, XML, XSLT.
Experience with cloud-based platforms.
Experience using continuous deployment / continuous integration (CI / CD) technology.
Familiarity with working in an agile environment with Scrum, Kanban, SAFe methodologies.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment.
