About the Role

The Python Developer role involves analyzing requirements, preparing detailed reports for SAS and Big Data projects, and ensuring adherence to agile methodology. The position requires handling data transformations, data quality, and working with Big Data systems. The candidate will build machine learning algorithms for credit risk, fraud detection, and merchant services, and coordinate team communication. The role also includes managing SAS metadata and project scope, planning, and change control.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze Requirements, Prepare detailed requirement and design reports for SAS and Big Data based projects.
Ensure all agile methodology is followed during the development of projects.
Responsible for data transformations as well as data quality.
Strong development and testing skills.
Handle Big Data systems.
Hands-on experience on SAS, Python, and PySpark models for platform teams of a leading American Credit Card provider.
Build machine learning algorithms for small merchant services, credit risk, and fraud detection teams.
Coordinate between team members to ensure seamless communication during the development phase.
Create and define Libraries, user groups, and roles in SAS Management console.
Maintain and manage SAS metadata including routine backup of SAS Metadata.
Responsible for managing scope, planning, tracking, and change control aspects of the project.

Requirements

Experience Required - 10+ Years.
Must Have Technical/Functional Skills: Python, PySpark, Big Data Hadoop, UNIX, Shell Scripting, Hive SQL, DB2, Netezza.
