Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze complex business and data analysis issues; identify, propose and develop effective solutions
  • Create tailored regulatory data analysis reports, analytical solutions and data visualizations using a combination of Python, SQL, Tableau and other technologies
  • Work closely with regulatory stakeholders to elicit, define and document detailed requirements and functional specifications that fully capture business processes and accurately define required functionality
  • Build and maintain a thorough understanding of Exchange trading and regulatory environments, in areas such as markets, products, relevant rules and regulations, technologies and systems, processes and operational methodologies, while contributing to the design and implementation of new data analysis solutions
  • Collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams, particularly the Options Surveillance and Options Investigations and Regulatory Development teams to enhance or create solutions
  • Actively participate in team projects, discussions and problem solving
  • Actively participate in training/continuing education opportunities and meetings

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, data analytics, statistics, economics or similar concentration required
  • 2+ years experience in financial modeling, statistics and analysis
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, Tableau, MS Excel and MS Word
  • Knowledge, interest or desire to learn about global financial markets with an emphasis on derivatives
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to analyze technical data
  • Innovative problem-solver able to quickly identify, understand and resolve issues
  • Resourceful self-starter able to work autonomously and as a team player
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to perform a wide variety of tasks simultaneously and change focus quickly
  • Experience in a regulatory or compliance environment is preferred

Qualifications
