About the Role

The Regional Biosimilar Accounts Director (RBAD) for North Carolina and South Carolina will manage the business relationship between the Company and assigned accounts with the goals of negotiating profitable contracts, improving formulary access, optimizing net sales and contract performance, and ensuring compliance with company policies while exercising financial stewardship. The role involves building strong relationships with key healthcare accounts across the Carolinas territory, engaging senior leadership, and developing strategic account plans within the biosimilars portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and advance business opportunities within assigned markets while building strong Business to Business (B2B) relationships with targeted customers.
  • Engage senior leadership within each account and build trust and credibility through strong interpersonal relationships and in-depth knowledge of the customer's organization, objectives, and environmental issues.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for senior leadership roles including business and clinical leaders, operations staff, and key decision makers in top accounts.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans for assigned accounts.
  • Persuasively present Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) brand pricing programs to pharmacy, supply chain, and business leadership.
  • Negotiate direct contracts where appropriate and communicate approved financial, healthcare economic, and budget impact models.
  • Communicate product access information with Field-Based Employees (FBE) and ensure customer contracts are properly loaded for appropriate pricing.
  • Lead account planning and pull-through activities, manage ongoing communications, and facilitate account coordination.
  • Conduct business reviews of account performance to optimize net sales.
  • Coordinate customer engagements with Medical Affairs and communicate the clinical value proposition for assigned products using approved messages and resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, ARNP, MSN).
  • Three or more years of recent sales, account management, or relevant healthcare experience.
  • Experience in strategic account planning, customer and market research.
  • Strong negotiation skills, demand creation, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and success working in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong business and financial acumen related to the healthcare environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with executive presence.
  • Ability to analyze multiple data sets to inform strategic business decisions.
  • Resides within the Carolinas territory, which covers North Carolina and South Carolina.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with biosimilars or in the healthcare industry related to oncology, rheumatology, gastroenterology, or dermatology.
  • Knowledge of healthcare contracting and formulary processes.
  • Experience engaging with senior healthcare executives and decision-makers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred).
  • Three+ years of relevant healthcare sales or account management experience.
