About the Role

The Regional Marketing Specialist (PHL) is responsible for planning and executing regional sponsorships and niche marketing events for Subaru. The role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, managing budgets, and implementing marketing strategies to promote Subaru's brand and community initiatives. The position emphasizes event management, digital activities, and supporting Subaru's core values through the Subaru Love Promise initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintains responsibility for planning and executing all Regional sponsorships and niche marketing events
  • Works in tandem with Zone Operations Specialist for the event management and planning of Zone-related events
  • Facilitates the communications and information between site coordinators and vendors
  • Independently manages the activities and responsibilities of employee volunteers and participating retailers, as well as determines needed staffing levels
  • Implements relevant and effective marketing and advertising in advance of the event
  • Develops contingency plans for events and independently and quickly responds to unexpected incidents
  • Completes pre- and post-event analysis to provide recommendations and guidance for future activities
  • Performs analysis of marketing reports and processes
  • Provides input and recommendations for changes in processes for future marketing endeavors
  • Acts as a leader regarding Regional digital activities
  • Partners with Corporate Communications to update Subaru's Facebook page and Twitter account to feature Regional events and news
  • Maintains responsibility for the Regional Marketing budget and the accuracy of Zone Marketing budgets
  • Manages costs for sponsorships and events, including balancing the budget and working with Accountants on any cost-, payment-, or budget-related matters
  • Acts as Regional Love Promise point of contact by producing and coordinating Love Promise events for Regional and Zone employees
  • Ensures the Love Promise is integrated into consumer events when applicable
  • Implements events and marketing efforts for Subaru Loves the Earth, Loves to Care, Loves Learning, Loves to Help, and Loves Pets for the Region
  • Tracks retailer participation, orders support materials, and ensures Love Promise stories are submitted at Region, Zone, and retailer level

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that is acceptable or probationary under the SOA Driving Record Evaluation Criteria Policy
  • Must be approved as an 'Authorized Driver' by Risk Management to operate a company vehicle prior to vehicle operation
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience (4-6 years)
  • Customer-handling experience, problem-solving skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Experience in event management and marketing analysis
  • Ability to develop contingency plans and respond quickly to unexpected incidents
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with vendors, site coordinators, and internal teams

Nice to Have

  • Experience with digital marketing activities and social media management
  • Experience in community or corporate social responsibility initiatives
  • Leadership experience in regional or large-scale event planning

Qualifications

  • 4-year college degree or equivalent experience (4-6 years)
