About the Role

Maxar Technologies is seeking a Research Analyst who can conduct in-depth research and populate table data, while collaborating with other team members for technical inputs. The position requires full-time, in-office presence. Maxar is an industry-leading earth observation satellite imagery provider that helps governments and businesses solve problems on Earth and beyond, monitoring global change, delivering broadband communications, and advancing space operations with capabilities in Space Infrastructure and Earth Intelligence. Their products and services support national security missions, innovative app technology, and efforts for planetary health and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Research specific topics and input discovered data into tables.
Leverage basic research and writing abilities.
Work collaboratively on a small team working on the same deliverable.
Serve as a member of a small team assigned with developing countrywide geospatial datasets for various clients.
Identify, describe, and cite new or existing data sources that comprise each dataset.
Possess strong research and writing skills, since the deliverables will be submitted to high-profile customers.
Use professional communication skills to discuss research progress, challenges, and technical requirements with management in a rapid execution environment.
Manage timelines and workloads for multiple concurrent projects.
Provide briefings to government and international customers.

Requirements

Must be a US citizen.
Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
At least 7 years of experience conducting in-depth research (social, economic, political, defense, environmental, etc.).
Experience authoring professional reports based on research conducted.
Effective time management and organizational skills.
Excellent command of the English language, especially syntax, punctuation, and grammar.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to break down complex problems or concepts.
In-depth knowledge and experience of style-guides.

Nice to Have

Basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and applications.
Military Intelligence background experience preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
7+ years of research experience
Experience in authoring professional reports
