About the Role

The Route Sales - Account Sales Manager at Matador Distributing is responsible for performing outside sales of product inventory while driving an assigned route of accounts. The role involves increasing product sales and placement of product displays at various stores, upselling inventory and displays, and servicing customers in a safe and productive manner according to company standards. This position requires managing customer relationships, delivering products, and ensuring proper documentation and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage products and relationships with customer contacts for sale of products at assigned accounts, informing customers of new products.
  • Deliver products to correct addresses; maintain signed invoices, bills, and other required paperwork; deliver documentation to appropriate staff when delivery is complete.
  • Determine current and ongoing product needs at accounts and look for ways to increase sales.
  • Ensure that all Red Bull equipment is clean and in good working order.
  • Perform outside sales functions including increasing sales and placement of products.
  • Establish and maintain friendly and professional relationships with customers to increase sales and selling space.
  • Evaluate competitors' activities such as new launches and price reductions and communicate with District Manager.
  • Meet monthly KPIs for sales, distribution, pricing, displays, new accounts, and other merchandising components.
  • Operate truck according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • Increase inventory and diversity of products at each assigned account and improve in-store branding while delivering fresh product.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience with route planning software and inventory management software.
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries and upsell products.
  • Experience operating a company vehicle (non-CDL Class C).
  • Ability to perform outside sales and manage customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of transportation laws relevant to truck operation.
