About the Role

The RUST Embedded Software Engineer (cleared) at General Dynamics Mission Systems will contribute to developing advanced cybersecurity and encryption products that support national security missions. The role involves working within a team to research, design, develop, and test software solutions, including embedded products, utilizing cutting-edge technologies in a highly secure environment. Key Responsibilities

Assist project leaders in the research, design, development, and testing of software and tools, including development of new work products or enhancing existing applications, systems, or embedded products.
Code, test, and document software solutions to advance technology offerings.
Work within a team environment to support cybersecurity and encryption product development.
Contribute to building solutions that support the missions of service members, intelligence analysts, and first responders.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) related field.
Understanding of software engineering concepts, principles, and theories.
Knowledge of the software development process.
Experience with C/C++ development.
Experience with RUST programming language.
Ability to interact effectively with project teams, managers, and end users.
Ability to quickly grasp and apply new information and handle increasing responsibilities.
Team-oriented mindset and commitment to professional development.

Nice to Have

Agile experience.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship is required.
Department of Defense SECRET security clearance at time of hire.
