About the Role

Parker Lord is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager III to join our EPM Division. The Sales Account Manager III will be responsible for managing existing sales and customers, developing and growing relationships at all levels of the customer organization, and leading the identification, evaluation, and securing of new business opportunities. This role supports our Elastomer Processed Materials (EPM) Division and involves collaboration across functions to ensure customer engagement and market growth. The position can be located remotely within the East Coast or Mid West regions, with travel requirements of 50-70%, including overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage existing sales and customer relationships, including development and growth of new and existing relationships at all levels of the customer organization.
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities with specified customers.
  • Provide forecasted usage and ensure customers adhere to Parker terms and conditions, including payment compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with customer service, logistics, finance, technology, and technical service teams to ensure effective customer engagement.
  • Support market growth by developing and maintaining excellent relationships with distributors, customers, and organizations to provide value-added solutions.
  • Develop and increase market leadership through technical activities, process improvements, sustainability projects, and process audits.
  • Participate in external activities such as tradeshows, industry meetings, and technical associations.
  • Support and coordinate with departments to ensure customer needs are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Promote new and modified products to grow Parker Lord’s market share and find new business opportunities.
  • Implement and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed and engage with safety programs.
  • Complete all call and expense reports on time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or business.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development, or related areas.
  • Must hold a valid US Driver's License and have a clean driving record.
  • Must have a valid passport for international travel when needed.
  • Business-to-Business experience and/or related experience, with basic marketing knowledge, market research, and business development skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to initiate global relationships and confidently cold call potential clients.
  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary meetings and deliver clear messages.
  • Result-oriented with a focus on achieving success and meeting goals.
  • Technical knowledge to understand and learn Parker Lord solutions.
  • Ability to develop, document, follow, and improve processes and work within larger defined processes.
  • Good knowledge of sales practices, leadership, decision-making, and risk management.
  • Strong evaluation, planning, and organizational skills to adapt to business environment changes.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Computer skills sufficient to manage email and use MS Office applications.

Qualifications
