About the Role

The Sales Manager OEM at The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is responsible for achieving assigned sales and revenue goals for the hotel. The role involves soliciting and securing new accounts, working closely with the Director of Sales to meet market and revenue objectives, and focusing on segments such as Leisure, Business Travel, Group, and SMERF. The position requires proactive sales efforts, relationship management, and a strong understanding of hotel operations and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively attain assigned sales and revenue goals, as well as solicitation call goals.
  • Proactively conduct solicitation calls, conduct sales tours, and entertain clients specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and/or Groups, as applicable by property.
  • Grow existing relationships with assigned accounts specific to Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel (BT), and/or Groups, as applicable by property.
  • Monitor and evaluate trends within your market segment.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Assist in implementing and/or participating in special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as sales blitzes.
  • Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and other functions required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
  • Access and control to sensitive areas in the hotel premises, including the Hotel Safe, Master Keys, guestrooms, Storage/Liquor Room, and secured file cabinets.
  • Drive safely on behalf of the company for business reasons.
  • Represent the company with a high level of trust, responsibility, good character, and sound judgment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; previous Hotel Sales experience preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver's license for the applicable state.
  • Developed verbal and written communication skills to negotiate, convince, sell, and influence managerial personnel, guests, and corporate clients.
  • Experience with professional selling skills such as opening, probing, supporting, and closing.
  • Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong organization and presentation skills.

Nice to Have

  • Previous Hotel Sales experience.
