About the Role

The Sales Manager for the West sub-Region at Siemens Energy will lead a dynamic team focused on driving sales strategy and expanding market presence in the energy sector. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, engaging with key customers, analyzing market trends, and shaping sales approaches to meet customer needs for steam turbine and compressor solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive annual sales plan to achieve order entry targets and enhance market penetration for steam turbine and compressor portfolio in the assigned territory.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners, acting as the primary point of contact for major accounts and negotiating profitable contracts.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for growth, and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and operations, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.
  • Prepare and present sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reports to senior management, using data analysis to inform strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales management within the energy sector, particularly in compressor technologies.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and success in competitive markets.
  • Strong understanding of the power generation, Oil & Gas, and related industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strategic thinking with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.

Nice to Have

  • More than 5 years of experience may qualify for a more senior position.
  • Experience with sales in the industrial decarbonization sector or green hydrogen technologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
