About the Role

The Sales Rep II at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A., is responsible for maximizing profitability and driving strategic growth of the Polycarbonate (PC) and PC/ABS, PC/ASA resin portfolio across North America. The role involves developing and executing targeted sales initiatives, fostering key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and coordinating multiple product lines including Engineering / Polyolefin resins and Chemicals. The position aims to deliver aggressive revenue growth, enhance market presence, and provide value-added solutions aligned with customer needs and company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue for PC, PC/ABS, PC/ASA resins by managing the sales pipeline and converting new business opportunities with existing and new accounts.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers, OEMs, converters, and distributors to ensure customer satisfaction, loyalty, and repeat business.
  • Identify and pursue new markets, applications, and customers for PC, PC/ABS, and PC/ASA materials, leveraging market intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Provide technical service and resolve customer process issues related to the products.
  • Lead contract discussions, pricing strategies, and commercial agreements in line with profitability targets and corporate policies.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer visits to strengthen brand presence and gather market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience in sales, account management, or business development within the Polycarbonate industry, with in-depth technical knowledge of PC, PC blends, and relevant processing technology.
  • Excellent English communication skills, including verbal, comprehension, and writing abilities.
  • Familiarity with the polymer production process, technology, and terminology.
  • Existing customer relationships within the automotive, electrical electronics, or compounder industries.
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related field.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with technical service and customer process issue resolution.
  • Knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape in the plastics industry.
  • Ability to facilitate large group presentations.

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
