About the Role

Its products include the V-BAT aircraft, Hivemind Enterprise, and Hivemind Vision. The company supports U.S. and allied operations worldwide with offices in San Diego, Dallas, Washington, D.C., Abu Dhabi, Kyiv, and Melbourne. As a Sales Solutions Engineer for APAC, you will be the technical linchpin in customer-facing pursuits, partnering with Business Development to demonstrate, prototype, and integrate Hivemind into next-generation unmanned platforms across defense and commercial markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the technical pre-sales cycle by conducting deep-dive discovery sessions, crafting solution architectures, and delivering demos and proof-of-concepts showcasing Hivemind's capabilities.
  • Serve as the customer's trusted technologist by translating mission needs into engineering tasks, answering technical questions, and clearing blockers during capture.
  • Design integrations by working with customer engineering teams to embed Hivemind on UAS, UGV, maritime, and fixed-site platforms, ensuring performance, security, and compliance.
  • Create technical collateral such as presentations, specifications, FAQs, roadmaps, and demo scripts to accelerate decision-making and shorten sales cycles.
  • Collaborate with Product & Engineering teams to relay field feedback, influence the product roadmap, validate new features, and assess out-of-plan opportunities.
  • Support proposals and RFIs by providing architectures, data sheets, and performance claims to strengthen bids.
  • Champion Hivemind expertise globally by training regional Business Development teams and embedding with customers on-site for technical meetings, flight tests, and system bring-ups.
  • Stay current on autonomy and AI innovations, competitor offerings, and emerging standards to maintain Shield AI's competitive edge.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or Field Applications roles.
  • Strong understanding of robotics, autonomy algorithms, and AI/ML fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in Linux, C++, and Python for debugging, prototyping, and API integration.
  • Proven ability to craft and deliver compelling technical demos and architectures.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on experience integrating autonomy software on UAS, UGV, or maritime systems.
  • Experience navigating complex defense procurements or working in high-stakes, regulated environments.
  • Experience working with multilingual customer settings (Asia-Pac, Middle East, Europe).
  • Prior experience with dual-use or aerospace technologies.
