About the Role

The Sales/Marketing Director at MorningStar Senior Living is responsible for supporting the community by increasing and maintaining occupancy through marketing, outreach, and resident relations. The role involves evaluating potential residents, managing resident agreements, conducting marketing programs and events, and working with referral agencies and outside organizations to promote the community. The position emphasizes a culture rooted in servant-leadership, kindness, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop long-range and short-range marketing plans, establish goals and objectives to increase occupancy.
  • Analyze data and provide competitive analysis information; consult and recommend regarding market rates.
  • Interview, assess, and determine if applicants are appropriate candidates for the community.
  • Handle financial arrangements related to admissions and acquire necessary information and documentation.
  • Conduct tours of the community for potential residents, families, outside visitors, and representatives from placement agencies and organizations.
  • Design and create advertising needs, marketing brochures, and other marketing products.
  • Plan and implement marketing events.
  • Follow-up with inquiries and maintain current and active waiting lists.
  • Complete and maintain resident files.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reports and summaries for admissions, discharges, sources, classifications, lengths of stays, etc.

Requirements

  • Demonstration of core values: Love, Kindness, Honesty, Goodness, Fairness, Respect.
  • Attend in-service education within the community.
  • Two years or more of college preferred.
  • Awareness of senior living community resources and needs, including services and cost structure.
  • Knowledge of related services available throughout the surrounding neighborhood and awareness of the competition and their rates.
  • Work well with people including staff, residents, families, and outside community.
  • Ability to speak before large groups and conduct community tours.
  • Be personable and friendly, with the ability to drive.

  • Participation in outside community civic organizations and associations.
  • Professional memberships in relevant organizations.

Qualifications

  • Two years or more of college preferred.
