SAP Client Support Consultant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 2nd level post-live issue resolution within Service Level Agreement timeframes, including investigation, solution identification, recommendation, configuration, unit testing, and solution documentation.
• Lead escalation processes and handle the most complex issues.
• Prepare functional specifications and change control requests, including design and configuration details.
• Test and document change control requests.
• Provide consulting services to the client base and guidance on design and configuration of complex solutions.
• Develop and conduct lifecycle mini-project solutions.
• Deliver effective client communications and manage tickets via CRM.
• Work with GlobalView Product Manager on items outside the current client offering.
• Assess Support Pack configuration and modify subsequent activities as needed.
• Identify, manage, and test SAP Note applications as an Advanced Correction.
• Create and send support requests to SAP for support and corrections.
• Apply specialist knowledge to improve solutions and services with a client-centric approach.
• Provide mentoring and guidance to other consultants.
• Lead, organize, and manage team activities, including coaching, training, resource planning, and participation in hiring and performance activities.
• Attend client-facing meetings and liaise with Service Delivery Coordinators and Account Management.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Strong SAP Payroll/HR application experience, including enterprise/personnel structure, payroll configuration, rules and schemas, and time management configuration.
• Experience with US Payroll Processing Methodology and Employee Self Service/Portal.
• 3-5 years of directly related experience in SAP Payroll configuration or consulting.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• SAP certification or equivalent SAP work experience.
• Knowledge of FICA limits, Tax Reporter, SAP Note/BSI TUB updates, and Year End activities.
• Ability to analyze support issues logged according to client SLAs and prepare functional specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Problem resolution skills and the ability to work systematically and logically.
• Business consulting skills and client-focused approach.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP HCM integration with other products and interfaces.
• Understanding of authorizations and postings to finance.
• Experience working in US and/or Canada payroll environments.
• Ability to mentor and guide other associates in area of expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in education and experience.
• 5+ years of proven hands-on SAP Payroll configuration or consulting experience in the US and/or Canada.
• SAP certification or equivalent SAP work experience.
