About the Role

As the Community Donation Manager at Savers, you will oversee the management and operations of the Community Donation Center to ensure a positive donor experience and promote brand awareness within the community. You will lead a team of CDC Ambassadors, uphold company standards, and develop relationships with local organizations to foster community partnerships. This role supports Savers' mission to champion reuse, reduce landfill waste, and provide community funding through donations and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the Community Donation Center (CDC) is organized, clean, safe, and welcoming, maintaining donation flow, storage, and staging.
  • Partner with the Production Manager/Store Manager to manage donation flow from the CDC into the production room to facilitate a manageable supply flow.
  • Engage with customers and donors to promote Savers' brand both in-store and in the community.
  • Ensure donations are accurately weighed by classification and accounted for.
  • Plan, track, and measure donation goals and results.
  • Use the CDC Scheduler and Daily Planner to schedule CDC Ambassadors appropriately, ensuring coverage aligns with expected volume and donor traffic.
  • Leverage Voice of the Customer Program to improve donor satisfaction.
  • Lead, direct, and supervise the work of CDC Ambassadors, including recruiting, training, coaching, and recognizing team members.
  • Develop a culture of appreciation for donors and donations, ensuring ambassadors provide fast, friendly, respectful service.
  • Assess and direct team activity to meet standards, and respond to donor questions, requests, and complaints.
  • Educate store team members on Savers' brand and business model to promote awareness.
  • Drive grassroots community efforts, promote company promotions, and partner with sourcing teams for Fundrive events.

  • Experience in retail or donation center operations.
  • Leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Experience in community outreach or grassroots marketing.
