About the Role

Join us as a Scrum Master for the Annuities Agile Release Train, where you will lead cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum principles to drive project success. This full-time, exempt role is based in Galveston or League City, Texas, and reports to the Assistant Vice President, Scrum Delivery Practice. The position involves facilitating Agile ceremonies, removing impediments, and supporting Agile tools and practices within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum principles
Facilitate daily standups, backlog refinements, iteration planning, iteration reviews, and retrospectives
Identify and remove impediments to ensure team success
Represent the team in broader planning sessions
Support the team with Agile tools like Azure DevOps

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience and certifications considered
Experience with IT solution delivery is strongly preferred
Annuity knowledge is beneficial
A-CSM or PSM II, and SAFe SM certification qualification or ability to obtain within the first six months of employment
Applied understanding of Agile/Scrum practices, frameworks, and techniques
Proven record for successfully leading midsize to large efforts with high degree of complexity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as complex critical thinking skills
Ability to contribute to the advancement and improvement of agile practices within the organization
Support the team in using agile planning and development tools (Azure DevOps)
Represent the team at broader planning and coordination sessions (e.g., Scrum of Scrums)
Anticipate client needs and develop potential solutions; adapt quickly to business changes
