Scrum Master

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the Scrum framework and coach others to understand and apply it.
• Work closely with the Sponsor to ensure project work progresses on schedule and meets organizational goals.
• Work with Sponsor leads to institute new Scaled Agile practices across the organization.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies such as scrums, planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Train teammates to leverage Agile and Scrum tools, techniques, goals, and principles.
• Identify and remove impediments to team success by addressing blockers, communicating with stakeholders, and resolving conflicts.
• Maintain transparency in work reports with regular updates to stakeholders.
• Facilitate continuous improvement within the team.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree and 10 years related work experience or equivalent experience.
• Established Scrum process and practices using a Scaled Agile methodology.
• Facilitated Agile ceremonies such as scrums, planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Facilitated discussions with Product Owner, scrum teams, customers, stakeholders, and others.
• Trained teammates to leverage Agile and Scrum tools, techniques, goals, and principles.
• Identified and removed impediments to team success by identifying blockers, communicating with stakeholders, and resolving conflicts.
• Maintained transparency in work reports with regular updates to stakeholders.
• Active Advanced Scrum Master Certification from Scrum Alliance or SAFe.
• Deep knowledge, expertise, and experience serving as a Scrum Master.
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, including briefings and artifacts.
• Experience writing, reviewing, and synthesizing technical requirements for technical projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with motivation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and ServiceNow in the Sponsor's environment.
• A BS in Information Technology or a related field.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Active Advanced Scrum Master Certification from Scrum Alliance or SAFe.
