Search Analyst - Japanese

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze search logs and recommend improvements to search engine performance and user interface.
• Configure search engine rules to improve search engine recall, relevancy, and precision.
• Recommend business rules based on search and data insights.
• Manage search configuration files in multiple locales and across multiple platforms.
• Work cross-functionally with stakeholders to improve search engine functionality.
• Monitor search trends and synthesize insights to report to the Executive team.
• Provide input on taxonomy and ontology structure, using information architecture principles.
• Review and maintain metadata, using information governance best practices.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in information architecture and information retrieval.
• Fluency in Japanese and understanding of the Japanese customer landscape.
• Experience maintaining blacklists, whitelists, and thesaurus entries as applied to search.
• Understanding of search engine scoring methodologies.
• Knowledge of the relationship between database structures and effective search systems.
• Passion for information retrieval and improving information findability.
• Team player attitude and ability to work flexibly under tight deadlines.
