About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Background investigations on candidates for employment and contractors seeking access to company facilities.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for the collection of individual background information.
• Interviews individuals within and outside the company regarding a candidate's character and reputation.
• Provides consultation regarding suitability for employment or access to company facilities.
• Maintains databases to support security programs and manage access control systems.
• Analyzes individual applications and reports, ensuring all information provided is accurate, complete, and truthful.
• Demonstrated ability to work with various software applications including SAP and MS Office.
• Knowledge and experience dealing with specific issues associated with providing security at an energy company and critical infrastructure protection.

Requirements

• Consistently maintain the highest standards of integrity and honesty while ensuring strict adherence to all regulatory and legal requirements related to background information including safeguarding sensitive data, following established protocols, and demonstrating ethical behavior in all aspects of the background investigation process.
• Exhibit the ability to effectively handle challenging situations by employing strong analytical skills to interpret complex information and make well-informed decisions based on thorough analysis, critical thinking, and a comprehensive understanding of the context.

• 2 years of hands-on experience handling background checks and sensitive information as a security specialist.
