About the Role

The Senior Analytics Consultant role at Wells Fargo is part of the Global Operations Data Analytic and Reporting (DAR) Analytics and Decision Support (ADS) Team. The team provides Operations partners within Consumer, Small Business Banking (CSBB) Operations and Fraud and Claims Management (FCM) with analytic insights, data visualization, risk, regulatory, and planning support through dashboards, reports, and consultative analysis. The role involves transforming information into insight, knowledge, and understanding to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performs moderately complex data mining from very large, complex, and multiple data sources using tools such as SAS, SQL, SSIS/SSRS to analyze, model, and compare data.
  • Coordinate and drive a common approach to reporting in support of the Fraud and Claims Management team.
  • Develops moderately complex dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and/or PowerBI, integrating multiple data sources and security tiers.
  • Provides consulting services to Operations Leadership and partners around Analytics, Dashboard Development, and Data Mining using in-depth knowledge and expertise.
  • Provides insight and knowledge around data extraction from various systems including Prevent, Fraud Services, DAT, CLAIMS2, First Track, DASH, CCM, LU, CSTAR, and BMG.
  • May lead project or virtual teams.
  • Communicates effectively with peers and partners in operational and management areas.
  • Supports technical build-out and/or maintenance of databases, query tools, reporting tools, BI tools, dashboards, etc., to enable analysis, modeling, and data visualization.
  • Performs activities related to creation, implementation, documentation, validation, and ongoing maintenance of complex models used to quantify, analyze, and manage customer complaints.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • 4+ years of SQL experience.
  • Ability to write complex queries and analyze data sources across Wells Fargo systems including BMG, EIW, PEGA, NICE, INDIGO, HOGAN, and SASGrid.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests and collaborate with a wide range of people.
  • Ability to present complex material in a digestible manner to all levels of management.
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft BI.
  • Experience with SAS, including SAS Visual Analytics and/or SAS Visual Investigator.
  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or related fields, with 4+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or modeling.

Nice to Have

  • Demonstrated data visualization experience using BI tools like Tableau or Microsoft BI.
  • Experience with SAS Visual Analytics and SAS Visual Investigator.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, high-demand environment while balancing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with AI tools to develop analytic solutions to complex business problems.
  • Ability to quickly learn business operations and processes.
  • Strong collaboration, independence, and initiative skills.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, or computer sciences.
  • 4+ years of experience in reporting, analytics, or modeling.
