About the Role
Jane is an MIT-founded, high-growth technology company in the cannabis industry. As the cannabis industry's first complete real-time marketplace, we aim to provide consumers with a confident, safe, and simple shopping experience. Users can browse local products in real-time, compare by price, proximity or popularity and place orders at local stores for pickup or delivery - all on the industry's largest marketplace. In addition to our marketplace, we provide online menus and end-to-end checkout flows to dispensaries by integrating directly with their POS systems and leveraging real-time data to connect dispensaries and consumers. Additionally, Jane offers native payment options, provides key data insights to industry stakeholders via our growing analytics platform, and has a growing consumer loyalty program funded by brands called Jane Gold.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, create, and maintain analytics-friendly datasets easily consumable by technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with team members to collect business requirements, define successful analytics outcomes, and design data models that power internal and external analytics products.
- Develop data schemas to optimize BI user experience and data warehouse cost efficiency.
- Develop and improve BI products with data scientists to generate actionable insights for cannabis dispensaries and brands across North America.
Requirements
- 5+ years working as a data analyst or analytics engineer.
- 5+ years of experience using SQL for scalable data pipelines.
- 5+ years experience with popular data storage platforms like Snowflake, DataBricks, or BigQuery.
- 3+ years experience with reporting tools such as Looker, ThoughtSpot, Periscope, PowerBI, Hex, etc.
- Experience using dbt for managing data pipelines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with python and/or R for statistical analysis and scripting.
- Experience with online advertising attribution and metrics.
- BS Computer Science or similar field.
Qualifications
- BS Computer Science or similar field (preferred).
