About the Role

This role may also be located in our Playa Vista, CA campus. The Go-to-Market Operations (GTM) team ensures that Google's complex and ever-evolving ads business runs smoothly. We are instrumental in setting the go-to-market strategy and guiding flawless execution and operations against the strategy. We stay focused on aligning the highest-level company priorities with strong day-to-day operations, while also helping to evolve early stage ideas into future-growth initiatives. The team is investigative and strategic with a pragmatic sense of how to get things done. The SDS Sales GTM team partners with the US LCS Services and Distribution Sector (SDS), which owns sales and customer relationships across various sectors including Education, Home Services, and Technical Business-to-Business, as well as cross-sector specialisms like Apps and International Growth. As a Strategy and Operations Senior Associate, you will support strategy development, go-to-market approach, organization design, and operating model assessments, collaborating cross-functionally to develop strategic plans, improve operating models, and manage projects to enable fast execution and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help develop a sales activation strategy to achieve business objectives, including annual and quarterly plans.
  • Activate the strategy through execution and enablement to ensure key activities are delivered and targets achieved.
  • Identify, define and track metrics to ensure progress against business objectives.
  • Help design reporting frameworks using core tools infrastructure and surface actionable insights to help drive the business.
  • Own development of hypotheses against an opportunity area or problem statement and test with quantitative or qualitative analysis, deliver data-driven insights and synthesize recommendations for executive decisions.
  • Define the problem statement and project scope to deliver against key business objectives.
  • Develop project plans including workstreams and resource requirements.
  • Deliver aspects of projects in a high quality and timely manner.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across business areas and regions to drive insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity or corporate advisory, or 2 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience creating complex data sets, data modeling, and reporting.
  • Experience in advertising, consultative sales, business development, or a digital media environment.
  • Knowledge of SQL, databases, and basic automation techniques such as dashboards, automating custom reports, or materializing tables.

Qualifications

  • Educational background with a bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • US base salary range of $118,000-$170,000 plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
  • Salary ranges are role, level, and location-dependent.
  • Additional benefits include bonus, equity, and other perks (details available during the hiring process).
