Key Responsibilities

  • Manage pursuits and new business capture through Rantec's forecasting and bid and proposal processes, and participate in strategy discussions.
  • Develop and expand knowledge of the customer's organization, personnel, existing business, new pursuits, their needs, and Rantec's competitive position.
  • Represent Rantec professionally and ethically, demonstrating core values in all interactions.
  • Identify potential pursuit opportunities in coordination with Account Management, research and network to gather information, and recommend bid/no-bid decisions to management.
  • Communicate effectively with customer personnel at all levels, including Executive, Program Management, Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Business Development.
  • Advise Rantec leadership on opportunities, threats, concerns, and important developments with customer accounts, and support activities to address competitive threats.
  • Support team members' professional development and industry knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Rantec leaders.
  • Utilize Rantec's CRM system (Salesforce) to develop and maintain opportunity data and booking forecasts, record interactions, and execute tasks.
  • Support internal reporting processes and develop detailed opportunity records supporting Rantec's 5-year EOF plan.
  • Recommend and coordinate the execution of capture strategies.
  • Support the development and maintenance of marketing tools.
  • Assist in developing Rantec's product portfolio strategy aligned with the Technology Roadmap and market factors.
  • Support product positioning, promotion, and pricing strategy development.
  • Represent Rantec at industry trade association meetings and conventions to promote products, capabilities, and technology.
  • Work flexible hours as needed and adhere to all safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Arrive on time and work each scheduled day to support team productivity and customer schedules.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS/BA Degree in a technical discipline or equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience.
  • 10 years of related Aerospace and Defense experience preferred, with knowledge of Power conversion modules being a significant plus.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • 10 years of prior experience in Business Development, Account Management, or Sales departments.
  • Proven track record of winning new business within the DoD or allied defense markets.
  • Deep knowledge of DoD acquisition processes, budgeting cycles, and contracting vehicles.
  • Established network of senior defense customers and industry contacts.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
  • Knowledge of FAA, FAR, DFAR regulations is desirable.
  • Experience with advanced technologies such as C4ISR, electronic warfare, missile defense, unmanned systems, or power systems is preferred.
  • Retired Air Force, Navy, or Army experience is desirable.
