We are hiring a Senior Business Intelligence Engineer for Enterprise Operations to join the Clarity, Insights & Analytics Team, which aims to provide trusted insights for business leaders to make timely decisions and execute effectively. This role involves designing and testing hypotheses, translating complex business problems into actionable experiments, and leveraging advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and storytelling to uncover insights and drive data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and test hypotheses by designing experiments to solve complex business problems and quantify their impact. Monitor and assess experiment outcomes to inform future strategies.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to uncover trends and apply advanced statistical methods to provide actionable insights. Expand descriptive, prescriptive, and predictive analysis for experiments.
  • Create and deliver visualizations and storytelling tailored to various audiences, effectively communicating complex data and trends.
  • Use machine learning and AI to streamline data querying and analysis. Apply ML techniques for experiment design and results analysis. Develop scalable systems to detect recurring patterns in experiments.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in predictive and prescriptive analytics, developing best practices and driving the analytics strategy.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in experimentation and personalization.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, program management, product management, and engineering to enable scalable end-to-end data and insights solutions.
  • Support other data-driven initiatives to deliver the Enterprise Operations' vision as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science or related experience.
  • 5+ years of related work experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data to deliver business insights, including building measurement methodology and advanced testing solutions.
  • Extensive experience with predictive and machine learning modeling algorithms, including A/B testing, causal modeling, and survey design/analysis.
  • Expert in SQL with demonstrated ability to write repeatable and robust code, applying advanced database concepts of optimization and design, and acquiring data from multiple sources efficiently.
  • Expert knowledge of at least one programming language to aid analysis, modeling, and automation, with the ability to choose the right tool for the context and assess trade-offs.
  • Ability to creatively and effectively apply descriptive and inferential statistical methods to answer complex business questions and conduct analyses with analytical storytelling and recommendations.
  • Experience using visualizations to summarize large amounts of data and highlight key insights for stakeholders, combining statistical knowledge with graphical design.
  • Experience related to the retail industry.
