Senior Cloud (Azure and AWS) Migration Software Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain cloud-native applications and services.
• Own the full software lifecycle, from architecture to production support, with a focus on reliability and scalability.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and other DevSecOps tools.
• Develop containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes across Azure and AWS.
• Monitor and optimize system performance using observability tools like Splunk, ELK, and Datadog.
• Collaborate with security teams to embed compliance and vulnerability management into the development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and incident response.
• Contribute to a culture of innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant experience.
• 8 - 10 years of experience with cloud platforms including Azure (preferred), AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with DevSecOps & IaC tools such as Jenkins, GitLab Runner, Terraform, Ansible, Rancher.
• Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Service Mesh (e.g., Istio).
• Proficiency in programming and scripting languages such as .NET, C#, React, PowerShell, Bash.
• Experience with data and integration technologies like Azure SQL, MS SQL Server, SSIS/SSRS, GraphQL, REST, SOAP.
• Knowledge of security and compliance tools such as Fortify, Prisma, Black Duck, Twistlock.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Splunk, ELK, Datadog.
• Familiarity with agile tools like JIRA, Confluence, VersionOne.
• Strong understanding of migrating legacy applications to cloud, designing resilient and secure cloud architectures, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong communication skills and ability to engage with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Hybrid/flexible schedule with in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week.

Nice to Have

• API Management tools such as Apigee, zOS Connect.
• Experience with AI tools like GitHub Co-Pilot.
