Senior Commercial Lines Product Specialist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead technical and conceptual development of ISO policy forms, endorsements and related materials.
• Function as the strategic thought leader in Medical Professional, Commercial General Liability and/or Commercial Liability Umbrella/Excess, using understanding of coverages, market, industry, legal, and regulatory trends, our customers, and our competitors to gauge impact on our insurance programs, provide actionable insights, and create new products and product enhancements.
• Develop panel agenda topics as well as coordinate, contribute to and present at panel meetings with our customers.
• Collaborate with Verisk compliance experts to react to emerging trends and create new insurance products and related material including educational materials in collaboration with our Education Department.
• Foster client engagement through relationship-building efforts and coordinate in-person visits and teleconferences to share knowledge and gain client input.
• Leverage the Emerging Issues Solutions Architect team to develop industry leading solutions for emerging trends, issues, and concerns.
• Speak and write about Verisk products, services, and industry trends; research and develop topic- and line-specific presentations and articles.
• Mentor less experienced staff regarding insurance-related topics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years P&C insurance experience with strong knowledge of coverages in Medical Professional Liability, Commercial General Liability and Commercial Liability Umbrella/Excess.
• Robust knowledge of market and industry trends.
• Excellent development and analysis of policy forms.
• Experience with multistate filings.
• Proven research and analytical skills.
• Pro-active problem solver.
• Detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with presentation experience.
• Experience building internal or external customer relationships focused on gaining actionable insights and fostering collaboration.
• Some travel will be required.

Nice to Have

• CPCU, other industry designations, or law degree.
