About the Role

The Senior Copywriter at Credit Karma is a seasoned voice on the creative team, responsible for crafting compelling concepts and copy for a variety of marketing channels and initiatives. This role involves developing engaging content for broadcast, digital, and social channels, with a focus on reaching and engaging a young 18-24 audience. The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on a mission-driven company that champions financial progress for over 130 million members globally, working within a multidisciplinary team of strategists, storytellers, art directors, and brand professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of experienced creatives to translate strong ideas into bold, breakthrough executions
  • Develop highly engaging content for multiple platforms, e.g., TV, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
  • Inspire and share knowledge of how to reach and engage a young 18-24 audience with the wider team
  • Bring fresh and innovative ideas that help scale the business through brand consideration and product awareness
  • Collaborate with marketing partners and agency partners to develop innovative campaigns
  • Set the creative bar for the brand and deliver work that impacts business outcomes such as driving direct response, changing perception, and increasing usage
  • Scale creative ideas up or down as needed to meet the brief while staying on budget and achieving business goals

Requirements

  • 4+ years copywriting experience in-house and/or agency
  • A strong, diverse portfolio of high performing, award-winning work demonstrating conceptual ideas, marketing, process, and solutions
  • A selection of video work that includes high-concept, high-performing, high-craft copywriting
  • A keen eye for detail and ability to edit own work and make creative recommendations to key stakeholders
  • Proven knowledge of current social media marketing methodologies, platform nuances, and short-form video power
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple projects from concept to completion

Nice to Have

  • Experience with consumer finance
  • Experience working in a high-volume in-house studio
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to learn quickly within CK systems and structure
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to be a dynamic speaker in front of peers and leaders
