Senior Data Analyst/Data Engineer - AVP

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models that meet business data/process and technology requirements, using designs and data strategies across platforms.
• Analyze and document business requirements to translate them into data models aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop and maintain data dictionaries and glossaries to define data elements and their usage.
• Analyze and monitor data usage patterns to identify opportunities for data optimization and improvement, in partnership with the Data Base Administrator.
• Define and document data architecture standards, principles, and strategies.
• Produce logical designs in relevant subject areas, including processes, objects, data flows, inputs, stored data, and outputs.
• Identify common components and implement architectures.
• Own and resolve design-related issues.
• Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
• Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance.

Requirements

• Experience with designing and implementing data models and writing efficient SQL queries.
• Experience building and automating scalable data pipelines using Python, Spark, or Azure Data Factory.
• Applying analytics techniques, including machine learning and AI, to solve business problems.
• Monitoring and maintaining data quality, lineage, and control frameworks.
• Creating visual reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
• Working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and big data tools.
• Understanding data governance policies and compliance standards like BCBS239 or GDPR.
• Strong collaboration and stakeholder influence skills.
• Ability to analyze data from multiple sources and communicate complex information.
• Leadership skills or experience leading complex tasks or teams (for leadership roles).
