About the Role

As a Sr Data Engineer within Veracode's Data and Analytics team, you will engage in building and optimizing data infrastructure, contributing to the architecture and execution of an advanced data platform. You will support data-centric objectives by working collaboratively across teams, demonstrating a strong foundation in data analytics and engineering, and understanding both technical and business implications of data solutions. Veracode is a global leader in Application Risk Management for the AI era, trusted by organizations worldwide to build and maintain secure software from code creation to cloud deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring efficient data flow and storage within Snowflake.
Facilitate automated data integration using Fivetran, promoting consistency and reliability across data sources.
Execute data transformations with DBT, leveraging SQL and Python to enhance data transformation capabilities.
Participate in the design and refinement of data models and semantic layers in Looker, aiding in advanced data exploration and analytics.
Oversee Snowflake's performance, including capacity monitoring and access management, to ensure data security and efficiency.
Engage in Python-based advanced data engineering tasks, contributing to the robustness and accessibility of data infrastructure.
Collaborate with senior engineers and team members to drive the evolution of the data platform and promote data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

Experience in data integration and ETL/ELT process development.
Familiarity with automated data integration tools like Fivetran.
Competency in managing and optimizing cloud-based data warehouses, preferably Snowflake.
Proficiency in data transformation using DBT and Python.
Understanding of data modeling and visualization in Looker.
Effective team collaboration and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Experience with cloud services, particularly AWS.
Background in agile development environments.
