Key Responsibilities

Lead and conduct hands-on data and threat/intelligence analysis to develop predictive models and visual analytics solutions for government mission users.
Collaborate with mission stakeholders to define, scope, and address challenges where big data solutions can significantly impact project success.
Extract, clean, and transform large transactional datasets to build predictive models and generate supporting documentation.
Apply statistical and machine learning techniques to develop, evaluate, and deploy predictive analytical models that inform mission-critical decisions.
Leverage various statistical and modeling tools to assess and compare the performance of machine learning solutions.
Execute projects related to pattern recognition, anomaly detection, automated classification, entity resolution, and named entity recognition/matching.
Present technical designs, project management insights, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior government stakeholders, through reports and briefings.

Requirements

BS/BA with 12 years of experience; MS/MA/MBA with 9 years of experience; PhD with 7 years of experience.
Experience working within the CBP environment.
Clearance (current and active): Top Secret with SCI eligibility.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Expertise in developing machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions to address complex business challenges.
Proficiency in programming languages: R, Python, Scala, Java.
Strong experience with SQL programming and data extraction for exploratory data analysis (EDA) and model development.
Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SAS, SPSS Modeler, R, WEKA, or equivalent.
Technical and Practical Experience with pattern recognition, data extraction, automated classification, entity resolution, supervised and unsupervised machine learning techniques, data mining, and visualization tools.
Experience utilizing big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, HDFS, HBase, MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, and Sqoop.

Nice to Have

Experience integrating and deploying machine learning models for end-user applications.
PhD or Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications such as Power BI Data Analyst, Tableau Desktop Specialist, Qlik Sense Business Analyst, Google Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Analyst, SAS Certified BI Developer, DASCA ABDA.

Qualifications

Educational qualifications include a BS/BA, MS/MA/MBA, or PhD with corresponding years of experience.

Target Salary Range: $146,000 - $234,000.
