Senior Data Scientist, SEO Analytics

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert on Redfin's SEO analytics.
• Leverage analytical and data science expertise to deliver simple answers to complex, ambiguous questions.
• Synthesize analysis and communicate insights into a coherent narrative for business leaders.
• Develop outcome metrics and conduct experimentation analyses to support site A/B tests.
• Use R and/or Python to develop forecasting and causal impact models for traffic monitoring, budgeting, and strategy planning.
• Identify opportunities and issues in collaboration with Product teams.
• Contribute to the SEO and organic traffic strategy roadmap.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 5+ years working in an analytical role in a business context.
• 3+ years of statistical modeling experience using R and/or Python.
• Expert-level SQL, Excel, and Data Visualization skills.
• Experience in SEO and web/app traffic analytics is strongly desired.
• Strong background in cross-functional collaboration and building consensus.
• Excellent data storytelling skills to explain complex ideas clearly and effectively (both written and verbal).
• Curiosity that drives understanding of the 'Why?' and 'What if?' questions.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Tableau, Python for ETL, and A/B test evaluation.
• Expertise using AI code generation tools such as Snowflake Intelligence and Github CoPilot.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of statistical modeling experience using R and/or Python.
