About the Role

The Senior Designer Social Media at JetBlue is responsible for conceptualizing and designing creative assets including static, animation, and video content that support JetBlue's social media strategy. The role involves working closely with the social media team and other departments within marketing, brand, customer service, and corporate communications to create content that aligns with company goals and enhances JetBlue's social media presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design on-brand and channel-specific content assets (static, animated, and video) for social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and TikTok.
  • Work closely with social media content creators on storyboards, content capture, graphic treatments, and final assets for videos.
  • Develop and maintain social media-specific visual and design guidelines and standards in coordination with the brand team.
  • Ensure all posts meet brand and social visual guidelines and align with JetBlue's overall brand and visual identity as well as social trends and norms.
  • Participate actively in social media team meetings, content ideation sessions, and content capture.
  • Manage projects and timelines to ensure social media content is completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of current social media, digital design trends, and in-platform features and visual functionality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or a related field; OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least four (4) years of relevant work experience.
  • Three (3) years of design experience in a corporate marketing environment with experience in social media design.
  • Demonstrated skills in a work sample assessment.
  • Design portfolio showcasing graphic design skills related to social media or consumer marketing.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing tools, CapCut, and social media platforms including in-channel functionality and scheduling tools.
  • Understanding of current social media platforms, features, and functionality, as well as social media design norms and trends.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work independently or in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and effective communication skills.
  • Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%) and flexible hours, including emergency response on short notice.
  • Possession of a valid Passport and ability to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with social media design/content creation for a large company in travel or hospitality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or a related field, or equivalent experience with a High School Diploma/GED and relevant work experience.
