Senior Designer Social Media

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design on-brand and channel-specific content assets (static, animated, and video) for social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Threads, and TikTok
• Work closely with social media content creators on storyboards, content capture, graphic treatments, and final assets for videos
• Develop and maintain social media-specific visual and design guidelines and standards in coordination with the brand team
• Ensure all posts meet brand and social visual guidelines and align with JetBlue's overall brand and visual identity as well as social trends and norms
• Participate actively in social media team meetings, content ideation sessions, and content capture
• Manage projects and timelines to ensure timely completion of social media content
• Maintain knowledge of current social media, digital design trends, and in-platform features and visual functionality
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Design or a related field; OR demonstrated capability with a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of relevant work experience
• Three (3) years of design experience in a corporate marketing environment with social media design experience
• Skills demonstrated through a work sample assessment
• Design portfolio showcasing social media or consumer marketing graphic design skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Photoshop, Illustrator, video editing tools, CapCut, and social media platforms including in-channel functionality and scheduling tools
• Understanding of current social media platforms, features, and design norms
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Understanding of social media content planning workflows
• Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Availability for occasional overnight travel (20%)
• Legal eligibility to work in the US and possession of a valid Passport
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test

Nice to Have

• Experience with social media design/content creation for a large company in travel or hospitality
