Senior Developer (Java, Micro Services, AWS, cloud-native )

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Plays a critical role in building of various software development projects and platforms while aligning them with business and security strategies and requirements.
• Leads the building of standards, designs, and automates the deployment of software.
• Designs and develops solutions that protect and manage software products and data.
• Drives technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around software engineering.
• Assists supervisors with project development, including documentation of features, recording of progress, and creation of the testing plan.
• Converts business concepts into the next generation of applications and tools, utilizing adaptive agile methodologies to deliver a minimal viable product to the business.
• Assists in scheduling, determining manpower requirements, and estimating costs to project completion in order to meet user requirements.
• Contributes innovative ideas and may lead large cross-functional teams, exercising independent judgment to solve unique and complex problems impacting the business.
• Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise, developing strategy and setting functional policy and direction.
• Provides mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees.

Requirements

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in software designing & development, software architecture, programming languages, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Agile Methodology.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Understanding of Application Programming Interface (API).
• Experience with Automation.
• Proficiency in C++, Java, JavaScript, Python.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Full Stack Development.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with React.js.
• Understanding of Scalability and Software Engineering.
• Proficiency in SQL.

Nice to Have

• Programming Language/s Certification (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
• Cross-Org Skills such as Effective Communication, Results Orientation, Learning Agility, Digital Fluency, Customer Centricity.

Qualifications
