Senior DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Own the ideation, design, development, enhancement, and continuous improvement of CI/CD pipelines.
• Evaluate current CI pipelines and design new solutions leveraging AWS functions.
• Design, develop, and improve existing AWS environments by enhancing CloudFormation and Terraform scripts.
• Partner with development teams to improve development efficiencies.
• Work with architecture teams to design infrastructure, environment, and CI/CD improvements.
• Gather technical requirements to document features, stories, and high-level designs.
• Enhance existing Entitlements Server Pipelines to automate end-to-end testing.
• Develop end-to-end solutions leveraging AWS resources and microservices in Python/Java.
• Collaborate with automation teams to create CI solutions that improve automated testing.
• Implement industry and AWS best practices for deployment, monitoring, and alerting.
• Create new CI/CD pipelines for new projects and build system monitoring dashboards and KPIs.

Requirements

• Independent self-starting problem solver with a creative passion for developing DevOps solutions using various tools and techniques.
• Experience designing and deploying AWS solutions including EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, Elastic Load Balancer, Auto Scaling groups, CloudFormation.
• Strong working knowledge of developing CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab Runner Pipelines and Jenkins.
• Experience with Docker container deployments and Kubernetes clustering.
• Proficiency in scripting and coding in Python and Java.
• Experience with AWS networking, Virtual Private Clouds, and related infrastructure.
• Strong documentation, design, and communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile environment.
• Willingness to mentor and advise other engineering team members.
• 3 to 7 years of experience in DevOps.
• Experience managing and deploying server releases to production environments.
• Experience supporting, monitoring, and developing alerts for production environments.

Nice to Have

• Experience integrating tools such as GitLab, JIRA, Confluence, Webex Teams, and Slack for automated information sharing.
• Knowledge of industry best practices for DevOps in cloud environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
