About the Role

The Senior Director, Paid Marketing (Search & Display) at Last Brand, Inc. is responsible for overseeing paid search and display channels to ensure ROI targets are achieved. The role involves managing campaign setup and ongoing management, developing optimization strategies, driving marketing automation improvements, and collaborating with internal and external partners to enhance performance. The position requires developing and maintaining strong relationships, delivering insightful reporting, and working cross-functionally with product and analytics teams. Telecommuting is permissible from any location within the US.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee paid search and display channels ensuring ROI targets are achieved, ensure best practice setup and ongoing management of campaigns.
  • Accountable for ROI variance to plan and reporting, supporting corrective actions with teams.
  • Develop optimization strategies with teams that provide a competitive advantage.
  • Drive improvement in day-to-day marketing automation and operations.
  • Develop, maintain, and grow strong relationships with relevant partners through leading development plans, campaign strategy, data strategy, reporting, and performance management.
  • Deliver regular reporting that provides insight on cost efficiency of paid search/display investment for stakeholders.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal product and analytics teams to streamline reporting, campaign operations, and data feeds.
  • Complete and manage the forecast and plan of monthly paid search budgets aligned with business objectives.
  • Manage personal development plans for all direct reports, ensuring clear objectives and skill development.
  • Collaborate with the product development team on paid performance product development.
  • Work with external partners (e.g., Bing, Google) to explore and execute opportunities.
  • Leverage machine learning in channel operations in collaboration with data science and analytics teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of experience in social marketing or related role.
  • Experience with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and Apple Ads.
  • Experience with YouTube advertising and display partners/networks outside of Google preferred.
  • Deep understanding of Paid Search platforms, including platform algorithms and API usage.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including SQL and data visualization platforms like Tableau or Looker.
  • Knowledge of campaign structure, management, and optimization, including automated bidding strategies.
  • Proficiency with competitive analysis tools such as SEMrush, Ahref, and Spyfu.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets for budget management and forecasting.
  • Experience with Shopping Campaign (PLA) management and product feed optimization.
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation, including Google Ads Scripts and API integrations.
  • Ability to design and analyze experiments such as A/B tests and lift studies.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how website technical health impacts paid search.
  • Experience with landing page optimization, including A/B testing and funnel analysis.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Google Merchant Center and Feedonomics.
  • Experience with regular expressions for custom data ingestion and reporting.
  • Experience leveraging machine learning in marketing channels.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience.

Benefits & Perks

  • Salary range of $230,000 - $260,000 per year.
  • Telecommuting permissible from any location within the US.
  • Full-time, permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
  • Onsite/public transit available at the San Francisco location.
