About the Role

The Senior Director, Product Excellence Lead at TransUnion is responsible for building core product management skills across the Global Solutions product organization. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows, optimize the product development lifecycle, and foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and operational excellence. The position is part of the Commercial Success team within TransUnion's Global Solutions organization, aiming to enhance product lifecycle practices and accelerate long-term global growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and build a new Product Excellence team within the Commercial Success organization.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineering, product marketing, and other teams to streamline workflows and optimize the product development lifecycle.
  • Coach and mentor product managers on essential skills such as Voice of the Customer (VOC), backlog grooming, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
  • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance product management competencies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaboration within product teams.
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback to product managers and implement systems for tracking their skill development.
  • Incorporate software tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) to streamline workflows and enable analytics.
  • Synthesize product analytics to guide strategy and establish data-informed practices.
  • Standardize ways of working, communications, documentation, and reporting to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to develop global change programs and ensure successful delivery.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of data analytics and/or software product management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills to build, lead, and inspire high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in coaching and mentoring product managers on VOC, backlog grooming, and GTM strategies.
  • Experience in developing and delivering comprehensive training programs.
  • Ability to synthesize product analytics and provide actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and best practices in product management.
  • Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Tableau, MySQL, and other analytics or project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus.
  • Ability to align product operations with broader business objectives and anticipate future needs.
  • Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple countries, with global leadership experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
