We are seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to contribute to the codebase by following set standards and successfully completing stories while maintaining effective communication within product/engineering squads and with other internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, design, develop, test, and release high-quality functionality as efficiently as possible.
  • Build and maintain new tooling (test coverage, build tasks, fastlane scripting).
  • Ensure the support of applications and the following of Apple's release guidelines.
  • Communicate upcoming changes effectively with all stakeholders, including Product, Design, QA, and IT.
  • Identify areas for improvement and innovation within the squad ecosystem by investigating and proposing new technologies and/or best practices, and leading the implementation efforts.
  • Be a hands-on contributor to the design and implementation of new products and features supporting the engineering organization's technical strategy.
  • Support QA in managing a fleet of devices that reflect our end consumer demographics and upcoming releases.
  • Provide code review and thoughtful feedback to peers and team members at various levels, assisting in producing code that meets standards and supports their development.
  • Write documentation on squad plans, current work, and completed tasks to facilitate productive discussions.
  • Secure and safeguard data to preserve its integrity, reliability, and availability, and maintain appropriate access levels.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as an iOS engineer across multiple environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and Apple frameworks.
  • Experience supporting various app extensions.
  • Experience supporting open-source SDKs distributed across various package managers.
  • Experience and familiarity working with CI / CD pipelines.
  • Understanding and following Semantic Versioning practices.
  • Ability to support and communicate Apple Human Interface Guidelines to internal teams.
  • Ability to understand and support codebases with minimal direction.
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Experience with native iOS, Xcode, macOS, and devices.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Bitrise, Fastlane, Firebase, Danger, Sentry, Figma, Confluence, Jira, GitHub, Auth0, PayPal, Branch, and standard analytics systems.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting open-source SDKs distributed across various package managers.
  • Demonstrated ability to document work and research existing documentation.

Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship.
  • Position in Illinois offers a salary between $136,000 - $154,700 depending on experience.
