Senior Engineering Manager - Digital Engineering

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead back-end engineering teams to create best-in-class digital experiences and support enterprise initiatives.
• Drive the delivery of digital services focused on improving member navigation experiences across Web and Native applications.
• Migrate data and services from legacy infrastructure to the cloud.
• Provide strategic leadership for digital engineering teams involved in back-end service development.
• Support, manage, and mentor engineering professionals with diverse backgrounds and experience.
• Influence roadmaps for future efforts and collaborate with stakeholders to align with business objectives.
• Organize teamwork, set goals, and hold teams accountable to drive execution.
• Monitor and resolve issues related to team pace and workflow.
• Coach leaders reporting into the role on successful management and leadership skills.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, architecture, and operations using agile practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software development work experience.
• 2+ years experience leading large cross-functional project management initiatives.
• 2+ years experience with Agile/Scrum practices.
• Experience managing large teams and leading large projects.
• Advanced communication and presentation skills to represent the team with stakeholders and management.
• Experience with modern Java software and tooling (e.g., Boost).
• Strong understanding of supporting products in a SAFe environment, including scheduling, planning, design, engineering, and third-party validation.
• Knowledge of tools such as Rally, Teams, Confluence, and other collaboration tools.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
