About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and optimize video playback and overall web performance to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience, especially on low-end devices.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, explore their practical applications, and apply them to enhance the product.
• Build high-quality features and prototypes using full-stack web development skills (Node.js, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Explore new technologies through rapid experimentation and drive their adoption where appropriate.
• Establish and advocate for engineering best practices, mentor teammates, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence.

Requirements

• Expert in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Expert in web performance optimization, especially in reducing LCP and enhancing video playback experience.
• Expert with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular.
• Strong technical and logical thinking skills for analyzing and solving complex problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Solid understanding of UI/UX principles and attention to user-centered design.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have

• Experience with developing web-based smart/connected TV/Vehicle/Appliances apps, using DOM-based or Canvas-based solutions.
• Experience with cross-platform solutions such as React Native, Electron.
• Experience with WASM for performance and cross-platform related usages.
• Experience with WebRTC or other real-time video technologies.
• Experience with module bundlers and building tools such as Webpack, Rollup, Vite, or Esbuild.
• Experience in Growth Engineering or Growth Hacking, with a successful user growth track record.
• Data analytics experience with exploratory data analysis (EDA) using Python (pandas, Jupyter Notebook), SQL, Hive, BI tools, and building scalable data pipelines.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
