Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and tactical leadership to a team responsible for developing and enhancing the PLM process globally, focusing on regions such as HMNA, HME, HMI, HMMEA, HMAP, HMCSA, and HMCH.
  • Support all CEO mandates, ensuring assignments are effectively communicated and delivered by regional teams, and assist regional teams in developing actionable plans to optimize volume, sales, and profit targets.
  • Achieve Business Plan (BP) objectives for all Hyundai vehicles by collaborating with regional teams and building teams of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to maintain real-time knowledge of critical business factors.
  • Deliver performance updates and analyses to provide the CEO with visibility into global opportunities and risks.
  • Leverage advanced analytical tools and methodologies to evaluate market and model line performance, identify growth opportunities, develop strategic scenarios & sensitivities, and generate forward-looking insights.
  • Monitor Regional PLM process to ensure CEO requests for analysis and deliverables are understood and executed properly.
  • Support creation of reporting processes to provide full visibility to model line performance by region and key markets with analytical rationale.
  • Collaborate with regions to develop and manage teams for leading Launch Committee Meetings (LCM) to ensure organizational readiness for new product launches.
  • Lead development of Regional Carflows including volume and share forecasts by model line.
  • Partner with regional teams in Pricing, Product Planning, Distribution, and Marketing to encourage cross-departmental collaboration.
  • Analyze performance of assigned Regions, develop actionable recommendations, and present findings to executive management.
  • Create regional monthly performance review metrics focusing on sales, share, profitability, and future go-to-market strategies.
  • Collaborate on upstream product planning, vehicle positioning strategies, marketing communication, incentives, pricing, financial impact analysis, production, sales training, and downstream sales operations to optimize performance.

Requirements

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience at a manufacturer or distributor of consumer products with direct product responsibilities.
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Cross-functional project management experience required.
  • Extensive experience in aggregating data, developing forecasting models, and designing strategic sales plans.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience presenting to senior executives.
  • Ability to simplify complex issues and develop compelling points of view.
  • Good organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong automotive industry and technology knowledge preferred.
  • Experience with industry tools such as PIN, Maritz, GfK, IHS/Polk, Strategic Vision, Ace Metrix is highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong experience with BI tools like Tableau or Power BI.
  • Solid foundation in data analysis, statistics, and forecasting modeling.
  • Proficiency in building automation processes and analytics tools, including advanced forecasting methodologies.
  • Strong technical skills in modeling and coding with SQL, Python, or R.

  • Automotive industry experience.
  • Experience with industry tools such as PIN, Maritz, GfK, IHS/Polk, Strategic Vision, Ace Metrix.
  • Strong automotive industry and technology knowledge.
