Senior Java Microservices Developer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Interface with key stakeholders and apply technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture knowledge and Design.
• Create high-level design artifacts and deliver high-quality code for modules.
• Lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.
• Collaborate with team members to gather requirements, analyze designs, and address technical issues.
• Develop and maintain Java-based applications, including coding, testing, debugging, and collaborating with teams.
• Implement UI/UX design to ensure the application is visually appealing and user-friendly.
• Build APIs for communication between front-end and back-end components.
• Work with database systems like Cassandra and Oracle.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues to ensure performance and stability.
• Create technical documentation for applications and development processes.
• Ensure the application loads quickly, runs smoothly, and is free of bugs across different platforms and devices.
• Follow coding best practices to ensure maintainability and ease of debugging.
• Identify and resolve issues during development and deployment.
• Provide feedback to improve code quality and application performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution, or three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 4 years of Information Technology experience.
• Experience in Java Microservices, Spring Boot, and Spring Reactive.
• Experience in designing, developing, and maintaining Java-based applications, including coding, testing, debugging, and collaboration.
• Experience in creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks like React.

• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security.
• Stay updated on Java technologies and industry trends; contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop application logic using Java and frameworks like Spring.
• Work with designers, product managers, and other developers to bring the product to life.
• Ensure the application is free of bugs and performs as expected.
• Document the codebase and application architecture for future reference.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during development and deployment.
• Make sure the application works seamlessly across different platforms and devices.

Qualifications
