About the Role

The Senior Manager, Event Web Experience at Salesforce is responsible for the strategic development, delivery, and management of digital marketing experiences for a portfolio of strategic events. Reporting to the Senior Director, Event Operations & Digital Experiences, this role involves defining and executing web strategies to engage attendees from initial discovery through post-event follow-up. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of individual contributors focused on event websites, providing mentorship, performance feedback, and fostering career development.
  • Cultivate a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing within the team.
  • Define and optimize team workflows, allocate resources strategically, and oversee project timelines to ensure efficient execution and on-time, high-quality delivery of all web initiatives.
  • Own the strategic vision for event websites, leveraging WordPress with advanced page builder solutions to create dynamic, highly customizable, mobile responsive, and efficient digital experiences aligned with event goals and marketing objectives.
  • Shape the holistic digital attendee journey, ensuring each touchpoint across platforms delivers value and a seamless user experience.
  • Oversee the production of event websites, including content strategy, information architecture, UX/UI design, accessibility, development cycles, QA, and ongoing optimization.
  • Ensure successful and efficient launch of all web phases through process improvements and rigorous QA, maintaining quality, functionality, and accessibility standards.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in web experience management, focusing on event websites and digital attendee journeys.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing web professionals.
  • Expertise in WordPress as a CMS, including experience with page builder solutions for development flexibility.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing principles related to event promotion, engagement, and conversion.
  • Ability to design and optimize digital journeys considering diverse touchpoints and user needs.
  • Proficiency in hand-coding HTML and CSS for issue resolution and template customization.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple large-scale projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive problem-solving approach.
  • Knowledge of web production best practices including information architecture, UX, accessibility, SEO, and A/B testing.
