About the Role

Join Workday as a Senior Manager, Innovation Keynote Content Writer to shape and communicate the company's innovation story through compelling keynote scripts and executive communications. This role involves working closely with top Product & Technology leaders to craft narratives that showcase the power of the Workday platform, with opportunities for growth and strategic ownership of keynote strategies for major events. The position is part of the Employee & Executive Communications team, which supports internal storytelling, promotes Workday's growth, and fosters a values-driven culture focused on employee happiness, development, and contribution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Keynote Content Development: Partner closely with the Senior Principal, Innovation Keynote and Content, to develop compelling innovation focused keynote content for Workday's most strategic corporate events.
  • Drive Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate seamlessly with marketing teams - Events, Thought Leadership, Production, PR, and Product Marketing - ensuring all keynote content is engaging, consistent, and on-message.
  • Shape Visual Storytelling: Guide our design team in creating powerful, complementary visuals and slides that elevate executive presentations and captivate audiences.
  • Provide Strategic Communications Counsel: Offer guidance to Product & Technology leaders on messaging, tone, and presentation delivery, helping them shine on stage.
  • Optimize Team Operations: Support the broader Keynote Content and Corporate Narrative team, streamlining processes to enhance efficiency across all event engagements.
  • Refine Workday's Voice: Contribute significantly to evolving Workday's innovation brand voice, using creativity and engaging communication to inform and deeply connect with our global audiences.
  • Cultivate Trusted Partnerships: Build strong, collaborative relationships with Product & Technology leaders, becoming a trusted communications advisor and strategic business partner.

Requirements

  • At least 8+ years working in corporate communications and marketing, in a fast-paced, high-tech company.
  • Strong experience leading C-level keynote content development, including storyline development, script writing and guiding visuals (in partnership with visual designer).
  • Experience with large-scale event production and an understanding of audience segmentation and tailored messaging.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive consensus and manage feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of AI concepts, trends and innovations, including generative and agentic AI, machine learning, and specific applications.
  • Ability to understand complex technology and translate it into compelling stories for various audiences, from technical experts to the general public.
  • Proven track record supporting senior leaders on their communications with a client service attitude and consultative approach.
  • Outstanding writing and editing skills, with high flexibility to manage multiple priorities.
